The magical touch of Pharrell Williams at Tiffany & Co. makes diamonds float, tridents go in fashion, and Tahitian pearls shine brighter than gemstones in his third jewelry collection.

Diamonds and pearls are a match made in heaven, and I certainly admire how they shine on Earth, especially when made by Tiffany & Co. Thanks to the genius of Pharrell Williams, who is not only the creative director of Louis Vuitton but also an award-winning musician, skincare guru, and hotelier, jewelry is now taking center stage.

The star of the show is the responsibly sourced Tahitian cultured pearl from French Polynesia, and the innovative “Titan Setting” diamond design. In the third series of the Tiffany Titan collection, we see a diamond appear without the usual pins or settings.

Who could have imagined such a stunning, almost magical design was possible? The diamonds appear to float effortlessly, a development of Tiffany’s exclusive Floating platform. “For the next iteration of the Titan story, I wanted to explore the concept of floating in some of these pieces,” says Williams. “I worked directly with the creative teams at Tiffany to integrate the Floating platform into the setting to give the illusion of this floating effect.”

As for the Tahitian pearl line, the collection includes pendants, earrings, and rings, all featuring the innovative diamond setting method and trident-like shapes representing Williams’ roots in Virginia Beach. The 18k rose gold and pavé diamonds beautifully complement the natural hues of the 11mm pearls, ranging from blue to gray.

The only interruption, though welcome, comes from the sharp lance designs and rounded links. The discreet showstopper, however, is the Titan Setting, achieved by laser cutting the bottom of the diamond and adding additional facets beneath the stone’s pavilion.

This results in no visible metal when viewed directly or from above. Each diamond is paired with a basket cut to the exact diameter and depth, ensuring a perfect fit. The result is that the diamonds appear to float, a concept Williams connects to his inspiration from Poseidon and the character’s ties to the sea. The stunning new collection awaits an official launch on Tiffany & Co.’s website and in the brand’s retail stores.
